Kinnell Farm Cottages,
Selfcatering, Killin, Loch Tay, Perthshire The Estate has two
cottages the Bothy that will sleep up to six and Gardeners
Cottage that will sleep up to eight for short-term
self-catering holiday lets. Fishing on Loch Tay and the
rivers Dochart and Lochy for salmon and trout is available
in season
Kinnell Estate is at the head of Loch Tay and on the south
side of Killin village. The property is secluded but a
convenient half mile from the village. It is about 65 miles
from Edinburgh and Glasgow. Perth, Oban and Stirling are
within easy reach as is Fort William. Kinnell is a good
location for touring Scotland as it is centrally placed.
There are golf courses at Killin and Kenmore at either end
of the Loch. Water sports can be had at Lochearnhead to the
south, some 15 minutes drive and also on Loch Tay.
Pony
trekking is just 5 miles down the Loch side. The area is well known
for its hill walks and mountain climbing. The nearest ski slopes are
33 miles away at Glen Coe. Fort William, Aviemore and Glen Shee are
within easy reach. There are also many places of historic interest
and natural beauty to visit.
