Kinnell may be approached from Edinburgh or Glasgow by taking the A84 for Callander from the M9 at Stirling. From Callander continue on the A84 to Lochearnhead. Then take the A85 for Crianlarich and after passing over Glen Ogle turn right for Killin on the A827. On reaching Killin, Kinnell Estate is on the right immediately before the stone bridge over the Falls of Dochart, and just past the front of the Falls of Dochart Inn. Go through the stone pillars marked Kinnell Estate and continue for about half a mile along a rough drive, the cottages are in the farmyard to the right of Kinnell House.
